and are similar to those mentioned by Aristotle.

Measuring these strengths help in understanding how an individual copes with adversity and how he/she interacts with the environment. A high score in these strengths leads to happiness and mental wellness and is indicative of a mentally strong, well-adjusted personality. Recognition of one’s own strengths and weaknesses leads to self-awareness and working upon them can lead to self- actualization.

But creativity or originality is also about being realistic, productive, practical, and useful. If creative ideas result in wastage of resources, or if it does not add value to the existing environment, we cannot term it as creativity. For example, you create an extremely exotic drink with unusual flavours but it is so high on cost that barely few people would be able to afford to buy and enjoy it, so we cannot call it creativity. The two basic components of creativity are uniqueness and positivity. The idea must be unique or original and it must somehow add positivity to society or the environment. The score is indicative of an individual’s ability for thinking positive, original ideas.

It is an important trait to have since it contributes to holistic continuous growth as a person and a professional. The two major components of this trait are a deep interest in enhancing personal knowhow and an openness to new experiences. The score is indicative of an individual’s personal quest for knowledge and experience and openness to new ideas.

Not getting influenced by preconceived notions and biases but paying attention to logic and reasoning behind an idea or thought process. It is also about keeping a receptive attitude whereas other people’s opinions, beliefs and thoughts are concerned but not being influenced by it. It is also about judicious and rational thinking. It is an entirely cognitive trait which considers a person’s ability to pay attention to beliefs and opinions which may be less popular or influential but more appropriate and just. A high score is indicative of high cognition and an ability to make decisions based on logic and reasoning.

If a person is enthusiastic about learning new skills or gaining more knowledge, it is easier or natural for them to be able to encourage or motivate others for the same. If someone is really inspired and has a true love for learning, it will reflect in their action too. They will go extra mile to acquire the knowledge they are passionate about. Being open to learning also contributes towards being more accepting and adaptive to failures, setbacks and helps in rebounding too. It is about understanding the difference between views of forests and trees (they need not be exclusive) and be able to relate to both. Perspective sometimes gets mingled with intellect. Intellect only involves cognitive qualities; perspective also involves behaviour and emotions. Having a perspective adds a significance to life and its higher purposes. A high score is indicative of a person who understands the current situation and can relate it to the vision ahead. Such an individual can take better decisions.

Be it a task assigned, goals to be achieved, maintaining relationships, or taking care of responsibilities. Many a times people derive a thrill out of accomplishing what they aim and desire for, perseverance or being persistent comes very handy for them to achieve success. This trait gives the person courage and hope in the face of adversities or difficulties. This keeps people going and overcome challenges. To practice perseverance, we follow two trajectories one being in the direction of actions and other being time frame.

You have a certain set of values, morals, and ethics, you follow those with utmost sincerity without biases or partiality. An individual’s morality can be marked in three ways, through thought process, behaviour, and emotive persistence. Some people are always very zestful, they are enthusiastic and excited about everything small or big, on the other hand there are people, who are always complaining or glum about something or the other. A person’s general sentiments and way of looking at things is quite a deciding factor whether they will be successful or not in their endeavours in life. Group dynamics is created or is a result of how team players act and react with respect to their roles and responsibilities. As a team member what is it that you put first, your own interest or team’s interest as a whole. This is also the genesis of a person’s solidarity towards his family, community, city and country. The score is indicative of a person’s potential as a team player. The ability to work in a group towards a common goal.

Being fair or just can also be of two types: Being Fair in Cognitive sense – being reasonable, logical, responsible in principle and action. Being Fair in Emotive sense -being compassionate, feeling empathetic towards needy and others in general. The score is indicative of an individual’s ability to overcome personal biases and act fairly.

There are various leadership styles, a leader can be defined or identified through his cognitive, behavioural, and emotional traits. The varying combination of these three traits determines the leadership style of a person. There are leaders who give clear directives and instructions in terms of what is to be done and how it is to be done. On the other side there are leaders who inspire and empower their team members to accomplish tasks assigned to them and goals set for them, devising their own workstyle.

Not letting the feelings of vendetta to govern your behaviour and thinking, but believing in letting go. Not to hold on to grudges. It is also about moving on and being more adapting to people and give them more than one opportunity to prove themselves or their point of view. The score is indicative of an individual’s ability to forgive others as well as oneself and giving second chances.

This does not mean not feeling self-confident but it does mean not to feel over confident. It is about understanding your strengths and weaknesses, accepting it and being proactive about it. Having humility does not mean having low self-esteem or a sense of worthlessness instead it implicates self-awareness and a pronounced conscientiousness. People with a high score in Humility would never brag about their accomplishments, they do not like being centre of attention for things they have not done, they like to share credit with everyone. But they also assert themselves and do not shy away from expressing their opinion.

It is being watchful, taking a pause and then opting for most rational choices. It is to be cautious, to be able to take calculated risks and never indulging in reckless behaviour. This can also be associated with self-restraint and practising self-discipline to highest order. Being extra thoughtful and astute while making decisions for self and others. It is like having goal driven strategy and pragmatic perception. This score is indicative of a person who is pragmatic and takes careful decisions.

Self-restraint
This is more of a practice than a quality, a person who has self-restraint is adept at self-regulation and is able to control thoughts, actions, attitudes and words too. Such people are more confident of themselves and they function with a belief that whatever they pursue they will be successful. Practicing self-restraint can lead to a sense of semblance, calm, and balance in life but sometimes it can also lead to disappointments and depletion, so it is imperative to practice this just in right amount and not overstretch it.

Here we can Split beauty and excellence into three major categories
Material Beauty
This can be experienced as acoustic, demonstrative and conceptual beauty, this inspires a feeling of admiration and amazement.
Competence or Flair
To be able to acknowledge and accept the flair and competence other may possess and be able to appreciate it.
Good Worth
To be able to see, understand and believe the virtues like kindness, helpfulness, efficiency and honesty in others.
A high score in this indicates that the person has a high sense of aesthetics and recognises and appreciates virtues in others.

Thankfulness
It is a general feeling of being thankful for things small and big around us and being expressive about it in a positive manner. Being thankful for people and things in life, for beauty and excellence around, invokes positive sentiments which in turn make a person modest, down to earth, considerate, kind and generally loving in nature. We can feel or derive this feeling of being grateful through an act of a person, or an event or by beautiful surroundings. The score is indicative of an individual’s ability to feel grateful which is directly related to his ability to overcome adversity, be happy and positive, have better relationships and health.

Positivity
Having positivity translates into being an optimist. It is about having a positive approach towards life in general, events and/or options available. It is also about believing in constructive outcomes in the future. Being optimistic is more than experiencing an emotion, it involves an intrinsic motivation, believing on self and exploring unconventional alternatives to achieve desired goals. Having a high score in this virtue means a person takes a challenging situation or unpleasant event as a sole occurrence and does not relate it to other aspects of life. In fact, they view it as an opportunity to learn and grow from it. Optimism helps an individual deal with adversities and learn from them.

Sense of Humour
All awkward situations, people or events can be dealt with humour in an effective manner leaving a good and positive trail and impact. Whereas if it is managed in any other way the consequences can be different and not so favourable. Being humorous is a unique quality that can help view every difficult situation or person with a different perspective. Lots of intense emotions and feelings can be averted by using humour. It is also about making others comfortable through light-hearted, jovial conversation and creating a feel-good factor and a happy environment. A high score indicates a pleasant personality.

Spiritual people believe in a higher entity. It is about one’s connect with divine power, a pursuit of higher self, leading a life with meaningful purpose. This may arise out of religion, but spirituality is not confined to it. People who believe in a higher purpose, generally tend to lead more purposeful lives. They do not like to indulge in frivolous pursuits. Such individuals tend to have a more stable and balanced nature.
