2. Ed-Tech Service Provider with CSC SPV - Face of faith with 5 lakh CSC centres

Common Services Centre (CSC) programme is an initiative of the Ministry of Electronics & IT
(MeitY), Government of India. CSCs are the access points for delivery of various electronic
services to villages in India, thereby contributing to a digitally and financially inclusive society.
CSCs are more than service delivery points in rural India. They are positioned as change agents,
promoting rural entrepreneurship and building rural capacities and livelihoods. They are
enablers of community participation and collective action for engendering social change through
a bottom-up approach with key focus on the rural citizen.

GEPL has been working with CSC SPV for over 7 years now and has its education and
entrpreneurship services being offered through the CSC web portal, thereby reaching far and
wide to the last mile, through 5.0 lakh CSC centers. GEPL’s services being embedded in the
CSC network helps us penetrate deep into the heart of the country and have a physical presence
in the neighbourhood, we call it a Phygital model (physical-digital). Physical centres provide a
face of faith that only adds to the pros of the technology enabled solutions available at the CSC
centre through computer or even mobile phones of the youth and especially the young women
who otherwise had little access to give wings to their dreams. GEPL therefore also promotes the
Digital India campaign through its online services being available to the common man at CSC
centers.

4. Project ‘e-Lakshyavahini’

GEPL had worked with CSC and Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, to enable and
empower the rural youth, to create a better and promising tomorrow through empowering them.
GEPL had partnered in e-Lakshyavahini project to curate quality content, test prep tools and
technology to manage and give individual feedback to the users. GEPL had developed the
technology and academic structures to render a user-friendly platform for test prep in eLakshyavahini.

Project ‘e-Lakshyavahini’ was a program run by the CSC academy in collaboration with CSC
Advisory Board of Haryana and supported by the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited.
The ‘e-Lakshyavahini’ project had supported preparation of competitive exams to 2500
candidates through 50 CSC academy centers in Gurugram district of Haryana state. Under this
project the candidates who were preparing for the competitive exams were provided assistance

The reboot version of Project E-Lakshyavahini was rolled out to benefit even a larger number of
students in Haryana in districts – Jind, Ambala, Kaithal, Jhajjar and Yamuna Nagar.

The benefitting students in the project E-Lakshyavahini, both times, were not just given direct
access to online preparation but also helped them prepare for online test taking and developing
an ease with online platforms, which is important since many of the govt/private exams are
now conducted online or in CBT (Computer Based Test) and more are being converted into this
mode from the traditional paper pencil mode. Project E-Lakshyavahini was also designed
keeping in mind the Digital India campaign and empower and encourage youth to adopt and
adapt to digital formats of education and learning.
